Create a list of thing to shoot before you leave, at the airport, on the plane, at the hotel, etc. especially if you’re shooting sponsored content. At the end of the day, you’ll feel less overwhelmed and more prepared when it comes time to drop a post.
Take your photos before you unpack
You room will never look as good as the first time you walk into it. Leave your suitcase at the door and start snapping to capture your room at its finest!
Touch base with your contact, whether a PR team or point person at the hotel. If you want to confirm what parts of the hotel they would like you to be promoting, ask. If you already know, run it by them one more time to make sure everyone is on the same page.
Wake up early. To get the shots you want, you have to do what others don’t want to do. This means waking up extra early and taking advantage of the beach before it swarms with tourists.
