Lately, it’s all about the Instagram Highlight
You might have noticed that Instagram recently rolled out a new feature called ‘Highlights’ where you can save your Instagram Stories to your profile where that Boomerang will keep looping forever.. or until your phone dies.
Alternatively, it can be used creatively to document a stream of Stories that (ironically) tell a story on your profile with a single click: Mom’s surprise party or an unforgettable trip to Hawaii; or a collection of clips that fall under a certain category: all of your outfit Boomerangs, snaps from the gym, or every morning coffee you make from now on.
Since when you first start adding Highlights to your profile, the default is a snapshot of the first clip, but if you really want to streamline your Instagram ~aesthetic~ the next level is Highlight Covers as seen in the ‘after’.
You can make your own by uploading the icon to your story and then setting it as the cover, but I also made it easier by creating a kit that include 7 premade backgrounds, 101 outlined and 101 lined icons to decorate your profile with along with a how-to guide to simplify the process!
