NO NEW RESOLUTIONS

Yeah, you heard me. Resolutions are overrated.

The only resolution I’ll be able to actually keep, because resolutions shouldn’t be the reason we choose to make a change; instead, they’re short-term placeholders for a happier self.

This year, I started going to the gym. I admit, I fell off for weeks at a time, but never quitting is the difference between you and a happier, healthier self.

Next year, I’ll be done school. There was a time this year I almost forfeit my degree because I felt like there wasn’t a point, but not quitting is the difference in how proud I’ll be when I cross the stage in 2017.

Your life is a constant work in progress and a year from now you’ll wish you started today. This year, resolve to get up every time you fall down.

  • Great advice 😉 I’m definitely resolving to lose weight this year though – I’m getting married in November so I’ve got an end goal in mind for it at least 😉
