Staying Warm in Faux Shearling

Crafty layers in a match-matchy Winter lewk

As much as I love living in Vancouver, I could do without the winters. Made slightly better by how twinkly and pretty the city is decorated at night, the weather can be so brutal and unforgiving!

Thankfully we're cruising at around 8 degrees, but it's enough to get crafty with the layers, even when the sun is out. This faux shearling jacket (similar here and here) has been a major hit on my social media (and in my wardrobe choices, I've worn it multiple times this season) and it's proven to be a good investment jacket because it well on everything.

Underneath I wore a light wash denim jacket with matching two-tone jeans and a classic white t-shirt, and of course, a pair of white sneakers.

I love how putting together an outfit can be such a matchup game: blue jacket, white t-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers with a cream jacket to keep it cozy. Plus, speaking of investment items, I just realized I've had my nude Gucci for over a year now and it hardly shows any signs of wear. Part of my purchasing criteria when it comes to designer goods is choosing items that are going to hold up for years to come, and I'm very impressed by how good it's looking!
