Workout wear is something that has noticeably evolved in the last few years, and with designers constantly pushing the envelope it's better than ever. Here's how I'm working it into my daily wardrobe; my way. From the kind of baggy/neon/ill-fitting apparel reserved for your pajama drawer and only worn at the gym to strategically placed mesh, playful prints and overall something you can tailor to your style, exercise gear is the new new you can get excited about. First piece | the muscle tankThis muscle tank is the basic white tee's younger sibling. The triangle cutout is a godsend at the gym if you hate the feeling of your shirt sticking to your back while you're working up a sweat (ok honestly who likes that?)Outside, it becomes edgy and flirty. It's a window to a flash of skin or if you wear it over another top or dress, it becomes a great layering option, which makes it a staple.

- with an off-the-shoulder top
- under a flimsy, sheer blouse
- and as seen here, with a high waisted skirt.
Overall, it's fantastic because it shows black doesn't have to be boring.
